About us

Fife Action on Autism (Scottish Charity Number SC 028420) has the following aims:

  • to meet with and offer mutual support to families with children or adults with autistic-continuum disabilities
  • to raise awareness of these conditions among all professionals concerned with diagnosis, education, and post-school support
  • to press for appropriate provision for the varied and complex needs of those suffering from all kinds of autism, particularly by Health, Education and Social Work departments
  • to have a voice wherever required to achieve the above

Individual, family or corporate membership is available. A library of books and videos and a bookstall of helpful pamphlets are available to members. Information, advice and support are offered to parents about the nature of autism and Asperger Syndrome, benefits, support in education, employment and independent living. Home visits are offered. For professionals working with people with autism, information is offered either through meetings or at their place of work.

Meetings are held monthly on Thursdays at 7:30pm in Rothes Hall, Glenrothes, and are open to all.
